I’m Rebecca Miller and I’m originally from Scotland but have been living and teaching here in Dubai for just over
2 years. I am a fully qualified dance teacher and choreographer with over 11 years experience, a fitness instructor, a professional dancer and business owner of The Edge Studio.
I have been a competitive dancer in Freestyle, Lyrical and StreetDance from the age of 7 and have won numerous titles such as Scottish, British and World Champion.
I started teaching at the age of 14 and opened the first Edge Studio in Scotland with my family in 2015.
I have also trained with some of the best choreographers in the industry in LA and within my studio..Parris Geobel, Diana Matos, Rob Rich, Wildabeast Adams and Janelle Ginestra and Brian Friedman to name just a few!!
I train all dancers to be the best they can be. In Scotland I taught my own school and had students not only compete and perform in shows, but have appeared on tv and in brand campaigns and had students awarded scholarships at a top UK Dance college.
Since coming to Dubai in 2021, I have taught Primary and Secondary pupils in fun classes aswell as competitive training, I choreographed and trained a School team from Gems WSO who went on to be the fist ever school team to travel to the U.K. and win at the UDO World StreetDance Championships!
I have also taught GCSE and BTEC level industry support classes in Gems schools and I am currently still teaching Level 6 Diploma Industry Support classes in Sharjah Performing Arts Academy.
Aswell as my own personal dance achievements and my students success I have performed as a dancer and choreographer for the many events..
▪️ John Newman at Expo 2020 infront of Prince William from the U.K.
▪️ French Montana at Formula 1 in Abu Dhabi
▪️ Opening event for Becky Hill, Rudimental and Signals at the Dubai World Cup with Ayesha Reid
▪️ Young T and Bugsy
▪️ Boslen
▪️ Soolking’s music video
▪️ Lady Gaga Tribute
To name a few..plus various other dance shows throughout Dubai!
My passion has always been teaching from a young age and my main priority is I love to see others achieve their dreams! I always go above and beyond to support each individual to reach there own goals and I love seeing kids have drive and determination with a passion for dance.
To me teaching dance is more than just steps and technique but about sharing a connection with the students to something deeper and more meaningful. It is a privilege to facilitate that kind of growth and learning and watch them embrace there own creativity and passion.
